Emily in Paris' places you'll regret not visiting

Whether you loved it or hated Emily in Paris, you can't deny that it satisfied a demand for people who want to visit Paris without leaving the comfort of their couch. For the numerous Francophile viewers of the show, the magnificent and picturesque locations in and around Paris were a major lure. The City of Love is portrayed in the series in a romantic and stereotyped way that regular visitors would recognize as common. We have compiled a list of places for you here from the first, second, and third seasons, including some of Paris's most lavish and sumptuous spots as well as a few unexpected gems.

Seine River

The banks of the Seine are lined with some of the city's most recognizable landmarks, attracting countless tourists each year. The third longest river in France, the Seine stretches 485 miles from Dijon to the English Channel. The river is featured in many famous Impressionist paintings, including Monet's "The Bathers" at La Grenouilles and Renoir's "The Seine" at Asnières. On top of that, the Seine still provides about half of Paris' water consumption.

Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat

After a brief stop in Liberty City, Emily and Matthew finally headed to Saint-Tropez and checked into the luxurious Grand Hotel Cap Ferrat, a Four Seasons hotel. When it comes to filming locations, there are few better value for money. Given the region's dramatic cliffs, quaint lighthouses and expansive Mediterranean backdrops, it's why many films were shot at this historic hotel.

La Maison Rose in Montmarte

So where are the other Emily filming locations in Paris a little further from the center of Paris? You may have seen pictures of the famous small village of Montmartre, north of Paris. It has the Sacred Heart Church and "the most beautiful street in Paris". The restaurant Le Maison Rose, where Emily appears in an episode of Paris, is located on this street. This pretty restaurant with its pink façade and green shutters is one of the best cafés in Paris and without a doubt one of the most popular spots in Montmartre!
